About David T Douglas

David T Douglas is an award-winning short story author, playwright, fruit grower, wheelchair user, and suitor of Princess Toadstool. With a penchant for combining mystery and romance, David often writes of love stories affected (for better or worse) by murder, secrets, or past transgressions. Other frequent hallmarks include surprising twists, ambiguous supernatural components (aka: oddoccurrences), and—drawing from his own experiences—a main character who uses a wheelchair. David’s most successful work, “The Bruised Banana,” won two awards as a short story and was produced as a two-person play by FUSION Theatre (Albuquerque). David’s other works include: Railbird, a full-length play which has received readings throughout Dallas–Fort Worth; “Forget Me Not,” a short story published in Malice in Dallas; and Purple-Eyed Teddy, a full-length play that David plans to rewrite as a novel.
